Whiteway sits on the western side of Bath, up the hill above Twerton, a largely 20th-century suburb of interwar and post-war family housing — solid semis and terraces with decent gardens, built as the city expanded, with some newer homes added over the years. It’s a settled residential area, and a lot of the homes are now ready for their next boiler.

Those era-built houses often still have an older system boiler and a hot water tank in the airing cupboard, so there’s a choice to make: a modern system boiler keeping the cylinder, or switching to a combi to free up the space.
