Villages We Cover
Paulton
One of the bigger Somer Valley villages, with Victorian workers’ terraces, older stone cottages and large modern estates. Because the housing is so mixed, the right boiler really does depend on the house — we size it properly rather than going off bedroom count.
Farrington Gurney
Stone cottages and roadside houses where the A37 and A362 meet, with newer estates added over the years. Older solid-walled cottages lose heat faster than a modern build, so we work out what the house actually needs.
Hallatrow
Much of the older housing here is miners’ cottages and stone terraces — solid walls and tight spaces. On a mid-terrace we plan the flue route before we quote, not on the day.
Temple Cloud
Stone cottages and houses along the old A37, with newer homes behind. A real mix of older and modern properties, so the heating needs vary from one end of the village to the other.
Westfield
Right next to Midsomer Norton, mostly post-war and later family housing. A lot of homes here still have an ageing system boiler and a hot water cylinder, so there’s a choice to make: a new system boiler keeping the cylinder, or a combi to free up the cupboard.
Camerton
A former mining village in the Cam Valley, with rows of stone miners’ cottages and newer homes along the valley. Older cottages often have limited space for the boiler, so we plan where it goes before we quote.
Marksbury
A small rural village of stone cottages, farmhouses and period properties, much of it built long before modern insulation. Bigger rooms and solid walls mean sizing the boiler properly matters.
Stanton Drew
A quiet Chew Valley village, best known for its stone circles, with older stone farmhouses and cottages and a few newer homes. Rural addresses are no problem.
