Farrington Gurney sits where the A37 and A362 meet on the edge of the old Somerset coalfield, a small village of stone cottages and roadside houses with newer estates added over the years. Older stone cottages lose heat faster than a modern build, so we size the boiler properly rather than guessing — undersize it and it never keeps up on a cold day.
