What changes the price of a new boiler?
A straight combi swap in Bath starts from including VAT. Every home is different, so here’s what moves the price up or down. The tool above takes all of this into account.
Swapping like for like
Replacing a combi with a new combi in the same place is the quickest job, usually done in a day. That’s why it’s the lowest price.
Changing to a combi
Going from a system, regular or back boiler to a combi means taking out the hot water cylinder and tanks and altering the pipework. It usually takes two days, so it costs more.
Moving the boiler
Moving it to another room means new gas, water and condensate pipes and a new flue. We’ll confirm the price on a free visit.
Where the flue goes
A flue straight out through a wall is standard. A flue up through the roof needs a vertical flue kit and a roofer, which adds to the cost.
How much hot water you use
Homes with two or more bathrooms may need a bigger combi, or a system boiler with a cylinder so showers don’t run cold. We’ll recommend the right one.
Essential or Premium
Essential is the Viessmann Vitodens 050-W with a 10-year warranty. Premium is Viessmann’s higher-spec Vitodens 100-W with more advanced controls and a 12-year warranty. Both come with weather compensation, which adjusts the boiler to the outside temperature so it only uses the heat it needs.
